I have played around with the idea of starting a blog for years. I've even built websites and deleted them all without ever publishing anything. While the thought of a blog had been in the back of my head for a while, it had always been something I thought only 'real grown-up' women had any real authority to create. That is until I saw the website and blog of our engagement photos' photographer. It was cute and modern, she was about my age, and was blogging about something other than parenting, cooking, or DIYs. From there I followed home decor bloggers on Instagram. I loved the way they had created unique communities to share with and learn from. They had built friendships with other bloggers as well as getting to know others who had the same interests as themselves. Our blog will not be about home decor sadly. As much as I love looking at beautiful photos of perfectly put together homes and learning budget-friendly decor ideas, I like keeping our home rather minimal. My home decorating skills consists of a few house plants and switching our wreath on the front door each season. The inspiration for our blog stems from more recent bloggers like The Dashleys. I love the way that they can document and celebrate their family while sharing it with others through their posts. This is the type of blog we hope to share with you. Nathan and I have been married for just over two years now, Being a newly wedded couple we have learned a lot and hurdled several obstacles in those first two years. We have bought our first house, learned that we never want to have a car payment again, and added a third dog to our pack. We have made some financial mistakes and have taken some really great financial steps. It's all a learning process! We hope that by opening up and sharing our life, someone will be able to relate and hopefully gain something from us. We hope to learn from you too! Using this platform, we intend to share about our little family, our financial journey, and possibly a small business venture. This is all very new and while we don't know where this will take us, we hope that you will join us along the way! -Nicole-
